The 2012 Inductees for the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame
have been announced for the Induction Ceremony that will take
place in October and they range from auto racers Roy Haslam to
builders George Jones.
INDUCTEES:
*Alan Wills, Roy Haslam, Whitey Severson, Archie Browning,
Tracie McAra (Sibbald), Joe Iannarelli, George Jones,
John McEachie, and Gorge Hotel Softball team.
INDUCTION CEREMONY:
announced by the Board of Directors that the Induction Ceremony will
take place on October 27, 2012 at the Pacific Institute for Sports Excellence.

APRIL 16, 1966 LONDON BOXING CLUB SHOW
A BOXING CARD TO REMEMBER IN 1966 By Brian Zelley
Throughout the Sixties, there were many excellent boxing cards
on Vancouver Island. One of the cards to remember was one
hosted by the London Boxing Club in Victoria.
Clubs participating were:
Victoria's London Boxing club,
Nanaimo's Newcastle Boxing club,
Port Alberni Boxing club,
Vancouver's Firefighters Boxing club, and
the Canadian Scottish Regiment.
